In-Game Character Information
Name: Enma Ai (goes by Ai)
Series: Jigoku Shoujo
Age [of death]: 13 {has been a spirit for a few hundred years now}

Personality: Ai is a very quiet and unassuming girl. You might even pass over her at first glance...it if weren't for her intense red eyes. While she keeps to herself for the most part, Ai is particularly attracted to people with vengeance/hate in their hearts, especially if those people are being abused or hurt in some way to cause that hatred. Deep in her core she wants to exact revenge for these people and strike back for them. Ai takes justice very seriously, even if others might not agree with her ideals. This goes back to what happened with Ai's own unfair death. She does not want to see the abuse she suffered repeated. Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.

Of course, most of this is buried deep within her. On a normal day, Ai can show very little emotion at all. In order to prevent a total breakdown, Ai has mostly shut away her emotions by this point.

Background: When Ai was alive she was very different from the girl she is now. Ai was the only daughter of a prestigious wizardry family that lived in a small village mostly occupied by muggles. Ai got along well with the muggle children and her parents did well to hide the world of magic from them. She attended Hogwarts like any wizarding girl her age and made friends there as well.

It was during her third year at Hogwarts that things went to hell, literally. The facts of the event are not clearly known. The only thing known for sure was that a rival wizarding family was probably involved and set the villagers up to kill them. Ai and her family were dragged out of their home, their wands snapped in half before they even knew what was going on. The family was blamed for countless false accusations of cursing the villagers. There was little they could say to appease the villagers. Ai pleaded with them to stop but the villagers were dead set on getting rid of the family. That night, Ai watched her parents die a painful death, just before she herself lost her life.

However, that was not the end. Ai swore with her dying breath that she would revenge herself on the villagers. The next evening, as the sunset, Ai's ghost appeared in the center of town, and as she passed through, multiple houses caught fire. Ai continued to haunt the village for some time, at least until a spiritual person came along to speak with Ai. This person convinced Ai that what she had done was horrible and wrong and that such actions were not the answer. Ai accepted this, but could not rid herself of her grudge towards the people who had done this

So, Ai sealed up her anger instead, despite her hunger to reap more revenge. She turned to Hogwarts, the last sanctuary she had known. Ai has been haunting Hogwarts ever since. For the most part she has hidden in the dark parts of the school, she would sometimes come forward to students and staff to ask if they wanted her to carry out their grudges for them. Most know better than to accept her offer...

Blood: Full Blood

Preferred House: I honestly have no clue.
Why you think they belong in this house? Again, I really don't know what house Ai would fall under. Can I leave it up to you?

Staff Position: Ghost
Why you think they fit this position? Well...she is dead.
If Professor would you want them to be Head of House? Lemon Drops

Roleplay Samples

Journal Sample:
The hatred once filling this place is gone. Yet, hatred can never truly disappear. As one spark dies, another is reborn in its place. A grudge, no matter how shallow, will always find its way to Hell.

Wandering souls lost in darkness...are you prepared for your consequences?
Roleplay Sample:
Ai hovered in the back of the library. She had gone unnoticed so far by the people there, Ai seemed to have a skill for blending in when she wanted to. Ai was currently watching one student in particular as she worked. The poor girl had been scorned by her boyfriend and Ai was waiting for the right moment. She could practically feel the anger and resentment rolling off the girl like a dark miasma.

It was too soon though. Ai knew she must wait. The hatred was still small and there was a chance that it could burn out all together. If that were the case, Ai would leave and return to wandering the halls in search of someone else to exact revenge for. Just as the girl turned to look in Ai's direction, Ai disappeared into a wall.

"No, it is still too soon," she whispered, "much too soon."
